2008 Spring Retreat -- Soto Zen is organising the 4rd annual all-Edinburgh Buddhist retreat. The retreat is for all Buddhist practitioners in the Edinburgh area. The retreat will be held at Wiston Lodge near Biggar, 25-27 April, 2008. Booking is through your sangha representative or directly with Neil Rothwell (see Booking Form for details). The cost per person this year is £80, including lodging and all meals. Wesak celebration -- the annual Wesak (Buddha Day) celebration will be held at the Salisbury Centre on 18 May. 6:15 for a 6:30 pm start. This event is open to anyone interested in marking this day, whether you are Buddhist or not. Typically there are people from 4-6 of the various Buddhist traditions active in Edinburgh, as well as individuals who aren't associated with any particular tradition. We will share some practice together, followed by a meal, and the evening will conclude at around 9 pm. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share.
